Development and research of technologies and applications for virtual concert experiences
Project description
The project researches the use of immersive technologies to create virtual live events such as concerts. Interactive technologies based on virtual reality are being developed and tested that virtualize real stage content and make it accessible to users in social virtual spaces. By virtualizing humans, their movements and speech, shared experiences in virtual space similar to a real get-together are possible, so that people can participate in live events together with other remote people. To increase the visual quality, the use of cloud rendering processes based on 5G technologies is being investigated. Interactive functions based on multi-player technologies should enable forms of shared social experience despite physical distance. This should create new forms of cultural and social participation using media and communication technologies that have a positive impact on social needs structures and the dissemination and accessibility of cultural content while reducing real mobility behavior.
