Hybrid learning and transfer tools for effective resilience design in companies (HYTEG)

Immersive XR and AI tools to strengthen resilience in socio-technical teams

Interactive learning scenarios with VR headset: employees explore resilience strategies in a simulation-based serious game.

Project description

The project is developing a hybrid learning and transfer system that enables employees to acquire effective resilience strategies for coping with work-related stressors and to integrate them sustainably into their work systems. At its core is an interactive serious game that simulates real stress and disruption scenarios in immersive XR environments. This allows risks, critical situations, and resilience-promoting courses of action to be experienced and tested in a realistic yet safe setting. XR not only provides authentic representations of complex work processes but also enables multi-user interactions and remote participation. The learning environment is further enhanced by AI-based simulation and analysis tools that identify vulnerabilities and stress patterns in work systems, evaluate resilience strategies, and provide adaptive feedback in real time. In this way, individual and team behaviors can be analyzed, decision-making supported, and the overall effectiveness of training increased. By combining XR simulations with AI-driven analyses, HYTEG creates an adaptive, practice-oriented, and transferable learning setting that equips companies and employees to better anticipate, manage, and learn from critical situations—directly strengthening health, performance, and organizational resilience in the long term.
